Before You Travel

What to Bring

We provide Helly-Hansen two-piece wet weather gear and rubber boots for all guests, but you are welcome to bring your own. Dress is casual. Bring a warm jacket, hat, gloves, sunglasses, sunscreen, camera, film, personal toiletries and your swimsuit for the pool and hot tub.

If you are flying to the resort, please limit your baggage to 25 lbs. so that we can fly your catch out with you. Soft luggage (i.e. duffel bag) is best.

Do not forget to bring any necessary medication. If you are prone to sea-sickness, we recommend you bring your own treatment. Please keep your medication with you at all times when travelling.

Identification

BC salmon fishing resortGuests arriving from outside of Canada must have proper identification to clear Canada Customs. Current regulations state that you must have proof of citizenship (such as a birth certificate) and photo identification (such as a driver's licence). A passport will cover both requirements and is strongly recommended. Oak Bay Marine Group is not responsible if a delay should occur at a border crossing or at Customs. Please be aware that individuals with any kind of criminal record may not be allowed to enter Canada.

If you have any questions or concerns you may contact Canada Customs at 1-800-461-9999 (within Canada) or 1-204-983-3500 (outside Canada) or visit the Canada Customs web site. On your return trip home, it is vital to keep your BC fishing licence with you as you may be asked to produce it by Customs or the Department of Fisheries and Oceans.
