Last report of the season

April Point Resort & Spa - October 2, 2005

April Point Resort & Spa’s season has drawn to an end, and what an end we had. We went out with a bang, and Chum were coming in like crazy.

Congratulations to Phillip Agnelli and Mr. Ward for hauling in a pair of Chum weighing in at 12 ½ and 13 lbs. The biggest fish of the day was a beautiful 14 lb. Chum battled and won by Sid Vandermolen.

There were still a few Pinks coming in, as well as Sockeye, but Chum are by far the species to target.

Spirits were high at here “The Point”, despite the drizzle, and I’d like to thank all this year’s anglers for sharing their excitement with us.

2005 was a blast. Great salmon fishing, wildlife everywhere, some beautiful weather and a beautiful setting – what better place to spend your summer?

Guests at Painter’s Lodge will be taking advantage of the fall fishing for another few weeks – be sure to check out their fish reports, too.

See you all again next year! Until then... Tight lines!
